Wednesday’s 14-game slate was a slippery one. Two more pitchers recorded their first saves of the season, and two of the five saves required three or more innings.
But, as the introduction indicates, Detroit had Kenley Jansen warming before the ninth and tenth innings, but did not use him, opting for Keider Montero in a tied game at the bottom of the tenth.
Ryan Helsley warmed up for a non-save appearance but stopped throwing and will undergo imaging, putting his status in limbo.
