Notes on Mike Clevinger and Liam Hendriks plus game action from Sunday

Sunday’s slate featured Mike Clevinger’s debut as a reliever, and no matter how anyone feels about him as a person, he did look comfortable as a reliever. If he responds well and can work on consecutive days, he could be the White Sox closer on Opening Day.

Liam Hendriks had another multi-hit and multi-run outing, allowing a two-run home run. Alex Cora remains supportive, but the closer competition feels far from decided for Boston.
