The anticipated Alexis Díaz and Terry Francona match not made in heaven has already surfaced. Command remains a hurdle for the Reds’ leverage reliever, and his most recent meltdown this weekend has prompted his appearance in a minor league game on Tuesday. Stay tuned.

A.J. Puk and Justin Martinez worked scoreless outings in their split-squad games. Torey Lovullo has not announced his plans for a closer, so Puk, Martinez, and Kevin Ginkel continue competing.
